Boostlingo has been recognized by CIOReview Magazine as the recipient of “Top 20 Legal Tech Solutions Companies - 2023,” based on our proprietary methodology, reflecting its position in the industry. Making Language Access Easier

Boostlingo

Boostlingo offers an all-in-one interpretation platform, BoostIMS, which enables legal firms to access qualified interpreters from around the world and handle interpretation management from one place.

“We support legal firms in every step of providing interpretation services. We customize our comprehensive interpretation platform per a client’s specific need, whether seeking, scheduling, or managing interpreters,” says Bryan Forrester, co-founder and CEO of Boostlingo.

While it started to help language service companies (LSCs) grow by automating their interpretation management workflow and virtual interpretation technology, Boostlingo has become a great ally for legal firms to guide and counsel their non-English speaking clients.

Simplifying Interpretation Management Workflow

BoostIMS stands out in helping legal firms automate the process of scheduling and managing interpreters and enhancing the overall efficiency of case operations with a reduced administrative workload.

Firms can easily schedule and assign an appropriate interpreter for each case while lowering the possibility of misunderstandings. It filters all available interpreters for the service, languages and their specialties, the prices interpreters apply, their workload, and availability for the firms to accordingly make bookings. Once the services are rendered, the platform also handles the billing and payments and shares the invoice with interpreters. BoostIMS keeps all the data of the interpreting service, like the number of appointments or the types of languages used, to ensure no excessive payments are made.

Cost-Effective and On-Demand Interpreting Services

Boostlingo has also developed BoostOnDemand, which allows firms to book on-demand interpretation services for short-term use.

Through BoostOnDemand, firms can easily select the language and a qualified interpreter and initiate a phone or video call to get an instant interpretation for their ongoing legal proceedings. This solution can be a game-changer in today’s decentralized work environment, as there is no requirement for legal professionals or interpreters to be in the same room or even in the same geographical region to receive or offer the service.

“Similar to how clients use Uber or DoorDash, it’s easy for them to access the language interpreter on demand like never before,” says Merrie Wallace, Chief Revenue Officer at Boostlingo.

Even in cases where interpreter services are required in penitentiaries, BoostOnDemand can be a great asset for legal providers and interpreters to remotely access and deliver the service without undermining their safety.

Using over-the-phone (OPI) and video remote interpreting (VRI) also drives interpretation costs down by not having to reimburse a full-time interpreter’s travel costs.

An Expanding Network to Offer Access Anytime, Anywhere

Boostlingo’s database of professional interpreter network (BPIN) comprises 17,000 interpreters who can interpret over 300 languages. This database is an amalgamation of leading LSCs that makes up its global network of qualified interpreters.
Boostlingo takes complete responsibility for its qualified legal interpreters and ensures no legal case is abandoned. In cases where a scheduled interpreter is not available, it quickly connects another interpreter from its network and makes sure the service is effectively provided.

When adding any new interpreter to its network, Boostlingo follows a stringent QA methodology to meet quality standards. It starts with a vigorous vetting process, where its language access team places quarterly audits on resumes to check the experience and proof of legal terminology training required to onboard. After onboarding, interpreters undergo rigorous interpretation training to comply with quality audio and video standards, because Boostlingo believes ‘you’re only as good as your last call.’ These additional measures reduce technological mishaps and ensure smooth service delivery.

Like a ship’s crew, every member of Boostlingo’s language access team has made the company’s journey into the uncharted waters of technology memorable and adventurous while maintaining a fast and steady course.

A Proven Record of Success

In one instance, Boostlingo’s interpretation platform came handy for an immigration client. The client, while working with South American migrants, faced many linguistic barriers. Without sufficient resources, the firm couldn’t afford an in-staff interpreter for every language that came through their doors.

After onboarding Boostlingo’s interpretation platform, the firm could cost-effectively serve more communities. Whether they have to go to customs or border patrol offices, the firm is connected with an interpreter, irrespective of the device. Consequently, the lawyers saved admin time and effectively served the client behind billable hours.

Scripting Innovative Transformation in the Language Service Industry

Talking about the company’s growth, Forrester says, “The world is our oyster, and we are just getting started.” Boostlingo’s expertise is expanding beyond legal firms to provide language access competencies in different industries like education and healthcare.

While it started to help language service companies (LSCs) grow by automating their interpretation management workflow and virtual interpretation technology, Boostlingo has become a great ally for legal firms to guide and counsel their non-English speaking clients

In 2022, Boostlingo acquired VoiceBoxer and renamed it BoostEvents to enable organizations to host multilingual events like webinars, online meetings, or hybrid events. BoostEvents can be easily customized and used with other communication platforms like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, and Webex.

Recently, Boostlingo also acquired Intelligence Interpreter, now Boost II, a robust platform for large LSCs to automate and streamline their interpretation workflow. It intends to stay at the top of its game with Boost II.

The different arms of Boostlingo—BoostIMS, BoostOnDemand, BoostEvents, and Boost II—are all set to make language access and interpretation easier.
