With enormous amounts of data flowing in from email, social media, mobile devices and cloud computing, “CIOs today are required to make both structured and unstructured data relevant to their businesses,” says Kelly Ireland, CEO, CB Technologies (CBT). However, companies are looking for new methods to consolidate information, search through it expeditiously and present results in a discernible format. Using their foundational talent and selecting partners with cutting-edge technologies, CBT creates advanced solutions to expand data analytical processes and gain data insight for effective decision making.

The Orange County-based company helps organizations deploy methods for amalgamating various data sets into one centralized medium to present results in a digestible format for business leaders. “In some cases where data consolidation may not be cost-effective, we find toolsets that can search and analyze the data in its present residency,” says Kelly. Most importantly, CBT effectively solves the corporate problem of asset tracking and management through its Asset Intelligence Platform (AIP). “An estimated 40 percent of engineering time is spent locating and validating physical asset information across the manufacturing value chain,” points out Kelly. “Our AIP is an innovative solution for capturing physical assets and integrating data with disparate systems of record.” AIP aims at achieving improved asset lifecycle and work order management along with Maintenance, Repair and Operational (MRO) efficiency. Additionally, digital enterprises can integrate geospatial asset information into the platform to lower operating costs, improve productivity and offer deep learning analytics providing corporations a holistic view of their businesses.

Serving a wide range of customers from diverse industries, CBT helps clients solve problems associated with personnel movement, lost or damaged goods and operational efficiencies. The company recently helped a nuclear energy firm better utilize existing data repositories for the speedy development of their new reactor. The client needed an easy-to-manage high performance computing solution that scaled well against unique applications and requirements like big data management, computational fluid dynamics and media-rich simulations.

With deep knowledge in HPC and software-defined storage, CBT created a highly-scalable solution that delivered performance beyond the customer’s expectations. Using HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen9 compute and gateway nodes, MSA 2040 storage for the data-node grid, and HPN FC switches, the solution generated revenue of $5M over two years. The solution allowed CBT to provide a customized grid management architecture that made it easy to manage and scale the storage for a broad set of HPC applications from big data management to video transcoding for media applications.

Among its various partners, HPE’s highly scalable, fast search database product called Vertica serves as an intermediate data platform to integrate with multiple data repositories including real-time geo-spatial data. It provides the asset’s whereabouts and condition throughout their life expectancy. The company has also employed HPE’s key technology functionalities of pattern matching algorithms such as HPE IDOL. “Having realized significant success through our alignment with HPE, we aspire to grow this partnership to the point that CBT becomes one of HPE’s ‘go to’ solution providers in the Americas,” says Kelly.

Kelly firmly believes in providing sound solutions coupled with best technologies to gain a competitive edge over others. As a result, CBT delivers a unique solution that brings virtualization and analytics together in a remotely-accessed platform to present real-time data. Going forward, CBT aims at utilizing Cloud Computing and Infrastructure as a Service to bring enterprise solutions to the SMB marketplace.

CBT Honored With the 2023 CRN® IoT Innovators Award

We are excited to announce that CRN®, a brand of The Channel Company, has named
CBT one of its 2023 IoT Innovators Award winners.

CRN’s seventh annual IoT Innovators Awards honors North American solution providers that are driving IoT innovation forward. The organizations on this list recognize the enormous potential of IoT and have integrated cutting-edge technologies into their portfolios.

IoT solutions are a pivotal technology that propels digital transformation by bridging the gap between the physical and digital world and between information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT). Owing to its capacity to generate new sources of data, mitigate risk, and provide real-time performance updates, IoT has emerged as a significant contributor to contemporary business initiatives. The recipients of this year's IoT Innovators Awards have demonstrated their leadership in the industry by devising innovative IoT solutions that expedite time-to-market planning and deliver the utmost value-add to their customers’ IoT investments.

Over the last year, CBT has continued to deliver IoT solutions through an expanded ecosystem of partner relationships focused on key verticals such as manufacturing, energy, construction, and medical. Taking advantage of the explosion of data and the growth of AI, CBT has doubled down on solutions in Vision AI and core-to-edge data analytics. Utilizing core AI partners like HPE and NVIDIA, CBT is helping customers to innovate and capitalize on data at the point of genesis to drive enhanced business outcomes.

“CBT is honored to receive the CRN IOT Innovator Award. It is with great pride that CBT has earned this prestigious award for the seventh consecutive year,” said Rob Schaeffer, President, and COO of CBT. “We work hard to innovate IOT solutions that provide our customers with solutions that modernize and optimize their businesses. Through technology aggregation, we create efficiency and cost savings while advancing innovation. We will soon learn that IOT will play a critical role with AI/ML/DL and the next generation of technology advancements.”

“The 2023 winners of CRN's IoT Innovators Award have been recognized for their exceptional IoT solutions,” said Blaine Raddon, CEO of The Channel Company. “These organizations have demonstrated remarkable proficiency in overcoming various challenges and have emerged as trailblazers in the fields of IT and OT. By offering innovative solutions, they have enabled their clients to outperform their competitors and establish themselves as leaders in their respective industries.”
