Parental engagement is a key element in the success of students. However, a recent research by Gallup found that only one in five parents engage with their kids’ schooling, leaving 80 percent opportunity out there to get them involved and engaged with their wards academic engagements. But, the problem is further aggravated by the changing trends in the way parents consume information—which is through social and mobile technologies. Redmond, WA based Bloomz is addressing this challenge for schools—increasing parental engagement with less effort. Bloomz focuses on three dimensions that drive better parental engagement—community building, streamlined communication, and simplified coordination. “We help teachers and schools create a bridge between the classroom and home keeping parents in the loop of what their kids are learning,” says Chakrapani Appalabattula, CEO of Bloomz. “This helps the parents connect with the school and class community.”
