Douwe Bergsma joined Georgia-Pacific, a Koch Industries' company, as the first Chief Marketing Officer for theConsumer Business. He leads the brand building and innovation capabilities for iconic brands such as Dixie, Vanity Fair, Angel Soft, Quilted Northern, Sparkle, Brawny, Stain master Cleaners, Mardi gras and private label brands. He oversees a broad range of capabilities including consumer knowledge, brand analytics, marketing activation, shopper marketing, design and packaging.

He began his career at Procter & Gamble in the Netherlands and for 20 years enjoyed marketing and sales positions in Europe and North America. He led local market-leading and global challenger brands and was among the first to bring category management and shopper marketing to life, partnering with a wide range of national and global retailers.

Georgia-Pacific's brand building efforts have been recognized across many major publications, including Ad Age's Creativity 50 and Co. Creates most creative 2015 ad, and through a range of awards, including Effie-, HALO- and Story Telling & Creativity Awards and the induction into the Shopper Marketing Hall of Fame. Georgia-Pacific's brand building leaders frequently present at international conferences, including the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity and events hosted by ANA, GMA, IRI, Nielsen, AMA, Brand Innovators, Path-to-Purchase Institute and the Conference Board. He graduated at the School of Economics and Business at the University of Groningen, Netherlands.
