Karen Matijak is an accomplished, highly versatile leader with a proven track record of transforming businesses at world-class companies to operate and deliver tangible business results more effectively and efficiently. Karen skillfully translates big picture strategy into strong executional capability by combining a mix of business acumen, process reengineering, change management and automation. Karen’s experience spans multiple industries such as consumer packaged goods, healthcare, financial services, publishing, automotive and building products. Currently she is Vice President of Strategic Initiative Delivery at NBTY, a wellness company with a history of more than 145 years, proudly standing as the leader in health and wellness. She is responsible for leading business transformation to enable IPO-readiness at NBTY.
Prior to joining NBTY, Karen was Vice President, Business Process Management at The McGraw-Hill Companies for 5 years where she was a key leader in driving Growth, Productivity and Speed and directly responsible for developing an HR Shared Services organization for the successful split of McGraw-Hill Education from McGraw-Hill Financial. She also spent 10 years of her career at General Electric in a variety of roles in GE Healthcare, GE Capital and GE Lighting, where she has consistently delivered business results and led large, complex, transformational projects and initiatives. She is a certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt.
