Laura S Marble
VP, IT, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan
Laura S. Marble is vice president of Michigan Delivery Systems and Support for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and has been with the organization since 2000.
She is responsible for the oversight, development, implementation and enhancement of systems and processes that support the company’s commercial and individual business. Marble is also responsible for the internal business systems for the organization.
Marble spent 17 years with Electronic Data Systems, where she rose to client executive and partner. She has an extensive background in managed care health information technology from her work with more than 20 Blue plans and numerous commercial insurers, HMOs and workers’ compensation organizations while at EDS.
Community involvement is important to Marble. She’s a 2008 graduate of Leadership Michigan and a graduate of Leadership Detroit, class of 2010. She’s also president of the board for AIDS Partnership Michigan and a board member for the Greening of Detroit.
Marble earned a master’s degree and certificate in computer programming from Central Michigan University and a bachelor’s degree from Alma College.
