Patrick Stephens

CIO, Rain for Rent

Patrick Stephens is Rain for Rent’s Chief Information Officer. He joined Rain for Rent in 2014 after working for Pear Tree Partners where he architected and implemented technology strategy for a variety of U.S. and European rental companies.  Previously, Patrick developed, supported and maintained the IT infrastructure and operations as Chief Technology Officer at United Rentals, Inc.; and produced rental equipment software for the equipment industry in his role as Director of New Technology Development at Wynne Systems, a global software company. He was involved in assimilating more than 140 acquisitions at United when annual revenues grew from $200 million to over $ 4 billion during a four-year period. Patrick also built a 1,150 location rental system that supports more than 200,000 customers per day.

Patrick earned his Bachelor of Arts from UCLA and holds multiple VMware, IBM, Microsoft and Cisco certifications. He hasbroad experience developing IT strategy, policy, system security, ERP implementation, GPS and telemetry deployment, and improving system efficiencies.
