What’s more? The HIC business unit of Emircom has recently launched a joint initiative with Dell to offer VCaaS to the education sector. Universities and educational institutions that opt for this service suite will have access to VDI, VCaaS, and virtual data room (VDR) solutions with a customized dashboard to access and review the delivery of their virtualized applications. Emircom also bundles the necessary hardware at a discounted price and helps bridge the digital divide among the students and institutions by making hardware donations to the teachers and faculty members. “It’s not just the data center and virtualization, we’re working with Dell on the complete stack, including servers and PCs,” Kabel adds.
Moving ahead, the company wants to stay laser-focused on upgrading its cloud and data center technologies. Abou-Zaki states, “We are going to invest more in our own public data center and will strengthen our capabilities for moving it to thecloud in addition to our current colocation offering.” Besides, the company also wants to expand its reach into neighbouring countries like Saudi Arabia and build a full-fledged Dell business unit to cover the local market.
