With a focus on aiding enterprises to meet their ever-increasing end user demand for faster bandwidth and connectivity while also securing their networks and intellectual assets, Global Convergence, Inc. (GCI) is a unified value-added IT solutions integrator that provides partners access to rapidly emerging, innovative, and disruptive technologies complemented by a full line of global IT services. The company delivers expertise and global coverage to build and support reliable wireless networks for clients.

“Our extensive experience in wireless networking has enabled us to hone our skills to meet today’s bandwidth, capacity and security demands for mobility,” says Jim Bradshaw, Chairman of the Board and CEO, Global Convergence. The company offers application driven designs for voice, location with BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy), and high capacity environments spanning major verticals such as healthcare, large public venues, and higher education among others. “At GCI, we do the design, implementation, commissioning and security for these mobile networks,” Bradshaw added.

In today’s world, wireless networks play a crucial role in connecting people and businesses. With the ever increasing proliferation of mobile devices, powered by BYOD (Bring Your Own Device), MDM (Mobile Device Management), and the emerging IoT (Internet of Things), users have an insatiable need for bandwidth and connectivity. Now, employees are increasingly requesting access to corporate data on their own devices. Enterprises are investing heavily on a holistic strategy to ensure a consistent mobile technology without disruption to workflows. Organizations are working towards a secure client device environment in addition to further securing the corporate environment and their intellectual assets by providing more cell coverage indoors to complement Wi-Fi connectivity. Enterprises are interested in migrating to 802.11ac Wave 2 technology for improved connectivity, productivity and increased wireless speeds. However, the costs associated with this type of forklift upgrade are forcing enterprises to reconsider their investment strategies. “In many instances, the required wired infrastructure investment is costlier than the wireless solution itself,” states Bradshaw.

“Our follow-the-sun managed services model with 7x24x365 network operations center support is an added benefit for our customers in providing tiered tech support,” says Bradshaw. “Our mobility practice spans the globe.

We have the ability to execute on an international foot print whereas most of our competitors can only execute on a regional or local level. Additionally, our PMO office has a large staff that is trained to manage large scale wireless rollouts whether a cloud or premises-based solution.”

From a security standpoint, the expert team at GCI assesses the environment, performs a gap analysis, and ultimately provides a design to meet the client requirements both from an encryption and authentication standpoint. “Based upon the design, we do the implementation, and the commissioning as well as the validation to ensure security,” Bradshaw adds.

GCI’s specialized team is trained to manage large-scale wireless rollouts—be it a cloud or premise based solution— which sets it ahead of the competition. “Our Mobility Business team consists of talented professionals that are passionate about wireless and mobility. For us, it is not a job but more of a lifestyle,” says Bradshaw. “Our extensive experience in the wireless industry has enabled us to set ourselves apart from the competition.”

The company’s Anything-as-a-Service (XaaS) offering, ITnFusion, is a product suite that optimizes and reduces IT expenditures by leveraging pooled resources for professional and managed services. The suite integrates hardware, software, and licensing components into a single, easy-to-manage solution with an operational expense payment structure. Apart from ITnFusion, GCI also offers secure mobility services to its partners to ensure their wireless environments are secure from internal and external threats.

Bradshaw believes that the secret-sauce to achieving success in the fast-paced mobility environment is to have Wi-Fi agility. Forging ahead, GCI aims to deliver innovative solutions specifically in the IT infrastructure, mobility, SDN, and security space.
