When Jeannette Lee arrived at Information International Associates (IIA) Technologies Corp as CEO last year, she had already amassed three decades of credibility through various leadership positions. This new opportunity would be challenging as the government’s needs have increased vastly due to increased cyber security threats and growing needs for IT Modernization. She could instantly see opportunities for IIA to accelerate digital transformation and to help government customers challenged with complex data-intensive missions.

Today, Jeannette leads her team of seasoned engineers, scientists, software developers, IT and cybersecurity experts, data scientists, and intelligence analysts solving a myriad of data-driven programs. “Government agencies are inundated with vast seas of data which, without advanced analytics, would be useless in dealing with threats and business challenges facing them. We help them analyze and visualize data using purpose-built enterprise-level data analytics, data knowledge management, and digital transformation,” says Jeannette.

From the security perspective, IIA offers a unique product, Known Networks, in the big data analytics space designed to characterize and enrich data while allowing it to be visualized multi-dimensionally. “The data set we produce works as a ‘periscope’ that scans and continually collects information on the Internet from authorities globally, and it delivers 30 different layers of enriched, categorized data that are updated every six days. This enables our customers to quickly detect anomalous, malicious activity instead of draining resources on volumes of false positives,” she explains.

IIA collaborates with clients at the CIO and CISO levels to boost security, increase productivity, and deliver efficiencies with faster time-to-value using proven agile approaches.

Today, IIA works closely with the Department of Homeland Security to deliver and maintain new and existing cybersecurity and network intelligence analysis datasets, tools, and big data platforms. The team develops big data, cloud telemetry and geospatial analytics, systems architecture and engineering, cloud database design and operations, application development, data harvesting, and cybersecurity operations. IIA is also responsible for designing, implementing, and deploying data ingest processes for numerous data sources from various vendors into National Cybersecurity Protection System (NCPS) enterprise data appliances. The company also conducts analytics research, creates cybersecurity analytics, reference architectures, and prototypes of new analytics platforms. These efforts improve the dynamic defense capabilities that NSD provides in support of Office of Cybersecurity and Communications’ (CS&C) cybersecurity mission.
