As a boutique business technology solutions firm, Integrated Business Systems (IBS) offers mission-critical IT products and services in three key areas: Real Estate Lease Management Software, Cloud ERP, and Managed IT Services.

“Our customer-centric mission hinges on helping clients keep their systems current and create competitive advantage,” says Michael Mullin, President, IBS. “Today that effort is focused largely on solutions that help companies access and leverage data in an increasingly mobile and interconnected world.”

The Microsoft platform has been–and remains–central in IBS’s progress.

Imperium Powered by Acumatica

Since its launch in 1979, IBS’s legacy lease management/ accounting software–used by dozens of regional commercial and residential real estate owners and operators–had evolved to meet changing customer needs and commensurate with technological advances.

“With the emergence of cloud computing, our leadership recognized that enabling clients to take full advantage of the resulting opportunities would require not just an update–but a rebuild,” notes Mullin. “To that end, in 2015 we partnered with Acumatica, a leading provider of cloud enterprise resource planning software, to take the company forward.”

In 2016, IBS released Imperium Powered by Acumatica, its new, cloud-based system. In essence, the two companies distilled the most important functions of the IBS legacy system and rebuilt it on Acumatica’s Cloud xRP Framework, an extensible and scalable development platform programmed with Microsoft C# on .NET.

“Imperium extends the power of Acumatica’s cloud ERP product with an industry-specific, fully integrated lease management/accounting system,” explains Mullin. “It is intended to serve as the core of a real estate entity’s ‘tech stack,’ housing enterprise data and interfacing with third-party products across multiple services categories.” This includes popular CRM and lease workflow, building management, budgeting and valuation, tenant screening, residential portal, and utility billing applications– among others.

The recent release of Acumatica Version 6.0 enables Imperium users to employ two key Microsoft applications.

The ability to now create Power BI widgets within the Acumatica dashboard enhances Imperium’s value from a business intelligence perspective. Power BI can be set to trigger when key metrics are met, and automatically notify appropriate contacts. “For example, Power BI can notify marketing staff when an apartment building’s occupancy drops below 95 percent,” says Mullin. “Or, it can message a commercial real estate owner’s accounting team when portfolio-wide AR rises above a certain level.”

Acumatica 6.0 also includes a new CRM Outlook Add-in, which enables Imperium users to look up email senders in their CRM databases–without leaving Outlook. “A property manager in receipt of an email from a tenant can quickly review their communication history and respond accordingly,” says Mullin. “If the system cannot find the sender, the add-in enables the user to create a new contact. It provides options to flag the contact as a lead or opportunity–a great tool when a potential tenant requests property information.”

Cloud ERP and Managed IT Services

IBS also serves as a reseller of Acumatica’s general accounting system, which incorporates the same Microsoft benefits. Geared to small and mid-size businesses across a range of industries, Acumatica delivers a suite of fully integrated business management applications on a robust and flexible platform.

Additionally, IBS’s Managed IT Services division offers comprehensive consulting, design, installation and support services for diversified clients. IBS embraces the most powerful products– such as Microsoft SQL Server and Office 365–to ensure a reliable and secure technology infrastructure.

“IBS looks forward to continuing our partnership with Microsoft as we support our existing clients and foster new relationships by providing quality products and unparalleled support,” concludes Mullin.
