The software market is a competitive space and this now means that enterprises are increasingly demanding more cost effective solutions from providers. In addition to reducing costs, companies are also looking to drive greater value from innovation, leveraging organizational data, and empowering the mobile needs of employees and customers alike. Based in Stowmarket, U.K., kwiboo, a boutique software house, benefits from its partnership with Microsoft to create highly-specialized systems for its clients to address these challenges effectively.

“Being a Microsoft Gold Application Development Partner, we have access to technical pre sales resource at Microsoft and product support as required,” explains Paul Marshall, CEO and Co-Founder of kwiboo. “The company receives early sight of new Microsoft technologies and products through the beta programs and partner network updates.”Marshall credits the regular development in the .NET Technology stack, specifically the new frameworks around ASP.NET MVC and WebAPI, for kwiboo’s success in building highly functional bespoke solutions. “Our partnership with Microsoft has enabled us to develop some fantastic multichannel solutions for our clients that are deployed via the web, mobile and desktop” says Marshall.

Utilizing Microsoft products, kwiboo has created a niche for itself in the market, serving wide range of businesses in sectors ranging from gaming to finance including clients like SEGA, Mitsubishi, and Xchanging. kwiboo works in close collaboration with its clients to understand their vision. kwiboo applies its expertise to deliver technology solutions that will provide a sustainable commercial advantage. For instance, when SONY DADC was looking to simplify the digital game supply chain channel and media, kwiboo designed and built the GENBA platform. “The world’s first platform to facilitate the distribution of games meta data, digital content and serial keys for product activation,” notes Marshall.

As a complete end-to-end gaming supply chain service, GENBA is designed to help both publishers and retailers alike. It reduces operational overhead, protects brand intellectual property, simplifies the delivery of content to the market, and provides the control and insight needed to capitalize on expanded market opportunities.

SONY DADC was able to garner greater share of games revenues globally as compared to their existing portfolio services. As SONY DADC’s IT provider for GENBA, kwiboo has had the opportunity to work with games etailers such as GameStop, Amazon and the PlayStation Network to integrate their systems with the GENBA API.

kwiboo is readily accessible to its clients, focusing on delivering specialized solutions. “Conversation creates ideas, and that’s the cornerstone of innovation,” remarks Marshall. This is apparent in one of the company’s projects where kwiboo created an immersive and innovative technology experience for sales meetings and product demos for one of its clients. The center piece was a 74 inch touch screen table, running a Windows Presentation Foundation .NET application that kwiboo developed to deliver a multi-touch collaborative experience for documents, images, and movies. “We also provided satellite screens on the walls to immerse the room in specific pieces of media as required,” explains Marshall.

Our partnership with Microsoft has enabled us to develop Custom Development Solutions, Data Management Solutions and Business Intelligence for some of the world’s leading organizations

In the near future,Marshall believes, IoT will continue to be a massive trend. kwiboo is already engaged in a prototype product that is set to revolutionize vending. The company is also increasingly focused on IT security due to the numerous breaches in the overall market in recent times. “The future at kwiboo is going to be exciting with major focus on providing multi-channel experiences. As end-users become more demanding, second and third screen experiences will soon be common,” adds Marshall. “We are continuing to build strong relationships with the Microsoft team to maximize client value through the latest Microsoft opportunities.”
