Customer Service + Informed Business Intelligence + Advanced Product Processing = Enterprise Mobility

Roy Chomko, President

What significant changes did enterprise mobility witness in 2013? What did these changes mean to vendors and customers?

2013 saw the rise of business applications as a way to enable enterprise mobility. Businesses were using mobile technology as a means to grow their business by investing in applications, programs and websites that would allow their workforce to work smarter and get more done in less time.

Enterprise mobility means better customer service, more informed business intelligence and advanced product processing - ultimately, smarter companies that are able to directly meet the needs of their customers.

What are some of the changes you had anticipated would happen in 2013 but did not happen?

We anticipated that Apple would grow their market share more than they have. Android, Apple and Windows continue to fight for product and application development.

Can you paint us an image of how the landscape for enterprise mobility will change in 2014? What are some of the broader trends you are closely watching?

We will continue to watch line of business applications grow on phone and tablet devices. With improved efficiency and time for businesses, this is something we believe will grow in 2014.

How will vendors and customers spending change in 2014 for the enterprise mobility industry? What makes you think customers will be buying more/less?

Our prediction is that companies will continue to increase their investments in enterprise mobility because they’re paying off. We're seeing business intelligence reports coming back that continue to show business applications improving efficiency across the board.

What's in store for your company in 2014?

More mobile. We're also paying attention to Adobe's PhoneGap. This technology allows developers to work smarter and builds applications once and deploy them everywhere, saving businesses time and money. We believe technology like this is the next wave in enabling enterprise mobility and it's something we believe will allow our customers to remove barriers that have stood in the way of their productivity before.
