MAVERICK Technologies

Paul J. Galeski, CEO and Founder
A quick peek into Paul J. Galeski’s remarkable professional experience, and one could tell the secret behind Columbia, IL headquartered, MAVERICK Technologies’ success. Founder of MAGNUM Technologies that was later acquired by General Electric, Galeski applied his successful enterprise experience to found MAVERICK in 1999 and within six years bought back MAGNUM and the other constituents of the General Electric Automation Services (GEAS) group.

Initiated as a global resource dedicated to helping businesses reach new levels of success, MAVERICK devises unique strategy to enhance productivity through the innovative application of industrial automation and information technologies. Its solution range is rich with decades of knowledge harnessed to create breakthrough results such as the company’s distributed control system (DCS) migration: DCSNext. More than a simple I/O or equipment replacement, DCSNext helps manufacturers leverage the complete benefits of the latest DCS technology in order to improve productivity, agility and profitability. MAVERICK’s DCS consulting team leverages its platform independence and proven methodology to deliver a DCS migration solution that meets client’s specific operations and business needs.

When it comes to commissioning and startup, industries with inadequate experience in the area often end up suffering heavy losses due to poor execution, which increases safety concerns, reduces post-startup reliability and leads to timeline delays. And where time is money, every minute past the scheduled startup date is money wasted and revenue lost. MAVERICK’s SureStart enables overcoming this challenge by working in parallel with client’s construction efforts and partnering with its team to minimize downtime, enhance reliability and finish ahead of schedule.

The last of the trio of solutions offered by MAVERICK includes PlantFloor24 which presents the easiest, most affordable way to improve asset utilization, allocate technical resources more effectively, reduce operational variability and lower the working capital. The company additionally offers on-site and remote management services that range from ongoing asset management and staff augmentation to 24/7/365 control system monitoring and emergency assistance.

‘Work hard, be honest, do the right thing, pay attention to what you do and realize the needs of the overall organization’-the five pillars of Galeski’s business philosophy has enabled the company to cater needs of clients spanning across industries and borders. “I believe what differentiates MAVERICK from the competition is the fact that I truly understand what the client does,” says Galeski, also the CEO at MAVERICK.

For instance, a refinery needed to understand how their various processes were controlled and monitored using older generation controllers (Honeywell TDC3000 DCS) and various programming languages so they could migrate to the latest Honeywell Experion. They needed a partner that could not only perform the migration, but also reverse engineer the current programs, including interlock functionality to ensure no code was left behind. The company partnered with MAVERICK that not only completed the project successfully on time and within budget, but also gained the trust of management and operations.

With the term expansion becoming synonymous to MAVERICK, the company has recently opened a new office in Pittsburgh, PA, which is believed to be driven by continued growth in energy production, along with support for local chemical processing, plus the regional operations of more than 200 national and global customers of the company in the northeast.

We continue to expand our capabilities, working as a long-term technical partner with businesses that don’t want to settle for average achievement

“Looking to the future, we continue to expand our capabilities, working as a long-term technical partner with businesses that don’t want to settle for average achievement. MAVERICK is eager to help clients overcome today’s most complex challenges,” concludes Galeski.
