Apart from the challenge of finding a good parking spot, the billing kiosk proved to be a bottleneck with people waiting in a long and unmoving queue to pay their dues. The citizens (drivers and attendants alike), irked and discontented to be wasting so much time, looked to their government for an efficient solution. With Miller Electric as its partner, the city replaced the existing kiosk system with license plate reading cameras and a mobile app for the citizens. The vehicle owners can now pay the parking fee and find the number of parking spots available in a specific location through the app.
