The watch analyst continued to comb through his proxy notices and came across something odd. He observed that targeted individual messages in the proxy notices were being checked, and their data was being reconstructed and consolidated by the hacker in a folder. Under normal circumstances, this would not mean much. However, he realized that all of the individual’s data being reconstructed was critical in developing the company’s contract re-compete strategy. “So essentially, the cyber watch engineer heard the emerging threat from the intel fusion analyst and was able to put two-and-two together and identify a direct threat to which we could quickly respond,” O’Connor explains.![]()
