A Partnership to Unlock the Full Potential of Cloud
SAN RAMON, CA: WANdisco, a leading provider of enterprise-ready software solutions, has announced a partnership with Bridgeworks, a data acceleration company. WANdisco’s Fusion will now be available with Bridgework's PORTrockIT in a bid to provide best-of-the-breed Cloud Migration and Hybrid Cloud Deployments for clients.
PORTrockIT's patented technology enables faster movement of large volumes of data, increasing performance speed by up to 100 times. WANdisco Fusion, on the other hand, employs patented active-transactional replication technology migrating transactional data to the cloud without downtime or data loss at a scale measured in Petabytes. Deliverance of enterprise data resilience and security for critical applications ranging from disaster recovery and data replication to backup and cloud migration through the improved speed will be the key feature of this collaboration.
“This new partnership brings together two best-of-breed solutions to unlock the full potential of the cloud,” said David Richards, CEO and Co-Founder, WANdisco. “WANdisco's continuous availability and guaranteed data consistency can now be deployed with software from Bridgeworks that virtually removes the effects of network latency, making it possible for on-premise and cloud environments to operate as one.”
The collaboration ensures migration of large volumes of live production data to and fro via cloud with zero disruptions. This way, downtime can be altogether successfully avoided as the cloud vendor storage appliances won't have to be sent back and forth from customer data centers. Also, the combined solution supports hybrid cloud requirements for on-demand, burst-out processing, and offsite disaster recovery without any data loss.
“Bridgeworks alleviates the effect of network latency to almost zero by utilizing parallelization techniques and machine intelligence to both manage and optimize the network and data flow,” says Claire Buchanan, Chief Commercial Officer of Bridgeworks.
"Enterprises are increasingly reliant on the need to move large volumes of data to where it needs to be at speed. They also need to have full trust and confidence that their infrastructure is able to deliver the performance that is critical to their business," adds David Trossell, CEO of Bridgeworks. “The combination of WANdisco and Bridgeworks will ensure a scalable solution for Enterprises looking at the cloud as a viable option for running business-critical applications that rely on speed of data migration," concludes Trossell.
