Above Security Adds another Feather to its Cap as Former CISO of the Government of Alberta Joins Its Rank
MONTREAL, CA: Tim McCreight, former Chief Information Security Officer for the Government of Alberta, has joined Above Security. The news was publicized in an announcement made by the Canadian-based global IT security service provider. Tim will be appointed as a Director, Advisory Services at the Hitachi Group Company, Above Security and his main role as a director will involve leading the Managing Consultants and Sales Engineers across the Above Security organization and information security services delivery to the organization’s clientele.
“Having Tim join the ranks of Above Security marks another step towards the evolution of our team of certified security experts that will bring added value to our global base of managed security service and security consulting customers”, says Ray Georges Chehata, President and CEO, Above Security. Tim McCreight has over 30 years of experience in the security field with leadership experience in both the physical and information security realms. It is notable that he has also held executive positions at a number of organizations in his lustrous career. He was the Director, Enterprise Information Security for Suncor Energy Services Inc. before becoming Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for the Government of Alberta.
Tim has also represented himself in many conferences across North America speaking on topics such as enterprise risk management, converged security, and implementing enterprise information security programs. “We have made it our commitment to continue to recruit today’s most talented and experienced security professionals, not only to foster continuous innovation and knowledge sharing within Above Security, but also to provide our customers with the opportunity to engage with experts in the field on a daily basis,” explains Chehata.
After being attaining Master of Science in Security and Risk Management (with Merit) from the University of Leicester, Tim also achieved some major security certifications such as his CISSP, CPP, and CISA.
