FREMONT, CA: AccuWeather announces the integration of its weather data on Microsoft Azure Maps, making it Azure Maps exclusive weather provider. This latest partnership indicates recognition by Microsoft of AccuWeather's proven superiority in weather forecast accuracy to advantage its enterprise customers.
The integration of AccuWeather's data and weather forecasts and warnings into the Azure Maps platform complements and broadens the offering of other types of mapping data, like traffic and public transportation. Now, Microsoft customers have access to accurate weather forecast data, as validated by several independent studies, comprising industry tracker ForecastWatch, proprietary features, and benefits, such as the patented AccuWeather MinuteCast minute-by-minute precipitation forecasts, daily forecast, current conditions, and global coverage.
Azure Maps includes AccuWeather severe weather alerts offered by AccuWeather to deliver people and firms with critical, timely notifications when dangerous weather threatens the protection of life and property and assists ensure enhanced safety business continuity. AccuWeather's pioneering radar and satellite map tiles integrate all available sources of radar information, allowing clients to view conditions in high resolution and detail. Weather Along a Route is a proprietary feature integrated into the platform by AccuWeather.
