FREMONT, CA: AccuWeather, a global weather forecasting service provider with dedicated apps available on all major platforms, recently released an update that is compatible with Windows 10. The latest update for Windows 10 provides some new features to the app along with new interface and design making the app more intuitive. The most important feature of the new app is MinuteCast, which provides detailed precipitation forecasts of next two hours at users’ exact street address or location. AccuWeather’s RealFeel Temperature analyzes multiple weather conditions and tells the user how the temperature feels like in the outdoor.

“We are committed to making people’s lives better by offering timely and informative weather forecasts that are localized and easily accessible from their mobile and connected devices,” says Steven Smith, President of Digital Media, AccuWeather.

The release has improved location management functionality with streamlined settings menu for easy customization and personalization. AccuWeather has integrated the app with Cortana to provide users the experience of voice activated phrases to receive the local forecast by saying “Cortana, What is my AccuWeather forecast?” Cortana is an intelligent personal assistant app that runs on Windows 10 Mobile.

The update offers several features in weather forecasting like complete weather news, weather notifications and weather animations with current weather conditions. Some other features available in the app are day/night forecast and local forecast summaries.
