Acnodes Introduces Tough Embedded Computer to handle Rough Environment
CHINO, CA: Manufacturer of industrial and embedded computer platforms and technologies, has recently introduced the launch of a new model of embedded computer, the FES 9120, a fully IP65 equipped, reasonably priced, fan less box system powered by an onboard Intel Atom Dual Core E3826 (1.46 GHz).
The system provides an exceptional harsh environment tolerance that includes a wide range of temperature variation tolerance (Operational: -13 degree F to 158 degree F, Storage: -40 degree F to 185 degree F), anti-vibration (5Hz-500Hz), shock tolerance up to 50G, anti-collision and resistant to corrosion.
The FES 9120 is light weight, weighing only 2.43 pounds and compact (Length: 7.81 inch, Width: 5.26 inch and Height: 1.59 inch). These attributes allow it to be easily wall-mounted or DIN-rail mounted where availability of space is limited. The system comes with heavy-duty steel enclosure. The fanless feature contributes towards effective dispersing heat while protecting its sensitive internal components and almost all kinds of environmental damage ranging from dust, debris to extreme temperature variations, moisture and vibration induced shocks.
FES 9120 delivers outstanding performance through its Intel Atom Dual Core E3826 (1.46GHz) including graphical and media performance while operating in the most inhospitable environment consuming less power.
In order to meet the requirements for immense storage capability, the chipset is Intel SoC integrated with HD graphics, memory of DDR3L 1066MHz GDB (up to 8GB), and adds a full size mSATA 64 GB SSD. It has one power LED and one HDD LED system indicator. The Ethernet is a Dual Intel I210 GbE controller, BIOS of AMI 16Mbit Flash, and runs on 9~36V DC power input with external power adapter.
The front side I/O locates a power button and a reset button. On the back side I/O locates line out audio, RS232, two USB 2.0, VGA output, power input, and RJ45 GbE LAN. As for the cables, it has one for USB, LAN, RS232, VGA, and power. All of the I/O ports and connectors are full IP65 equipped and of M12 standard. The M12 standard is to ensure proper connection to industrial components and to protect the interconnection from foreign particulates, dust, water, and hazardous substances.
