Acquisition of IT Security Specialist Expands IHSE Product Portfolio
IHSE expands its product portfolio by acquiring its security specialist, enabling growth through KVM-over-IP solutions, addressing new customer groups, and meeting the growing demand for IP solutions.

IHSE has purchased IT security specialist KVM-tec. KVM-tec was founded in 2006 and specializes in developing and distributing flexible, high-security KVM-over-IP (KVMoIP) systems for extending and switching computer signals. The company uses the standard IP protocol to provide high-performance, low-latency signal transmission over existing networks. IHSE is a prominent global technology provider of KVM (keyboard, video, and mouse) solutions using proprietary network protocols, and this purchase expands the company's product portfolio and customer base. "Our international subsidiaries enable us to be close to our customers also. In the IT security space, local personal contacts are a key success factor," adds Michael Spatny, managing director at IHSE.
In DietmarPfurtscheller, KVM-founder tec's and CEO, and his wife, Ingrid Pfurtscheller MSc, KVM-head tec's of sales and marketing, will remain with the company after the deal is completed. They will work with the IHSE team to propel the company forward. Bettendorf, Austria, is home to Kvm-tec, currently employing 28 people.
