Advanced Control SystemsTM Released PRISMTM 11 at DistribuTECH 2016
Orlando, FL - Advanced Control SystemsTM (ACS), a global provider of smart grid automation technology, has recently introduced its Precision Real-Time Information System Manager™ (PRISM™) at DistribuTECH 2016. PRISM is the high-performance real-time foundation of all advanced system solutions delivered by ACS, including ADMS, Outage Management and Energy Management systems.
A 64-bit platform, PRISM 11, will help utilities deliver real-time information and automate network processes up to ten times faster than all of the previously released versions. This new launch, followed by a long history of improvements and updates to PRISM, includes significant upgrades in both features and operation across the ambit of its smart grid applications. As a result of PRISM 11, customers are expected to experience larger database capacity, expanded study mode and test mode capabilities, and improved security features.
“The fact that this is our eleventh major release of PRISM attests to our commitment to this platform and to the trust that utilities across the globe have placed in PRISM to help them effectively manage the delivery of energy,” says ACS CEO Kevin Sullivan. “We listen and understand the needs and challenges of our customers and are always looking to incorporate their suggestions for improvements to our complete suite of advanced solutions.”
For over 40 years, ACS has pioneered control center solutions which include SCADA, advanced distribution management (ADMS), outage management (OMS), energy management (EMS), network simulation and optimization, network display strategies and ergonomic design. ACS automation product lines include a wide range of flexible and cost-effective substation, distribution, and feeder automation solutions. ACS mobile tools enable utilities to communicate with crews and consumers using real-time data. ACS provides technology to manage energy through a fully-integrated real-time PRISM platform which optimizes grid efficiency.
