Aerospace Industry Reach Heights in Aircraft Deliveries
FREMONT, CA: Aerospace industry’s aircraft deliveries in January 2014 have reached heights, reports ADS group, a representative of the Aerospace Defense Security industries in United Kingdom.
According to the survey, the Aerospace industry has delivered 74 aircrafts in January 2014, which is 10 more in comparison to aircraft deliveries in the same month, previous year. The survey also states that the industry has about 64 aircraft orders and 244 engine orders on hand, bringing a total backlog of orders to 11,269 aircraft and 20,030 engines.
By maintaining the record, the aerospace industry might support thousands of high-value and skilled jobs in the future, reports Victoria Fitzgerald.
“While January is traditionally a slow month for orders, these figures reflect the hard work that industry has put in to maximizing its output, setting a record for the month. Overall, the mood is a positive one for 2014. We are also looking forward to the Farnborough International Air show later this year, offering UK companies an opportunity showcase world-leading aerospace technology to many hundreds of prospective customers,” said Paul Everitt, chief executive of ADS.
