Aeryon Labs Joins Hands with Protonex to Offer In-field Battery Charging Solution
FREMONT, CA: Aeryon labs, provider of small Unmanned Aerial Systems (sUAS) for military, collaborates with Protonex, provider of intelligent power management solutions, to deliver in field battery charging solution for Aeryon Labs’ sUAS. The new solution enables operators to rapidly charge sUAS batteries in the field, without carrying a sUAS charger.
Aeryon’s SkyRanger sUAS is designed with military and government specifications, offering up to 50-minute flight time, single operator transport, reliable flight performance and integrated payloads. It is suited for both land and maritime operations. The new solution uses Protonex’s SPM (Squad Power Manager) and VPM (Vest Power Manager. The SPM system offers a lightweight and rugged power management solution designed to withstand harsh operating conditions of military field use, while VPM system offers a user-friendly solution for any military power source. These power managers enable SkyRanger sUAS batteries to be charged from any power source available cancelling out the need to carry multiple batteries or large charging systems.
“The new charging solution for Aeryon SkyRanger batteries addresses a common challenge faced by military small UAS operators. This new offering helps the operator move fast and adapt to changing conditions, and is just one example of how we continue to invest in our class-leading sUAS through both in-house R&D and key technology partnerships such as the one with Protonex,” says Dave Kroetsch, President and CEO, Aeryon Labs.
