AIS Data Centers Facilitates iMailTracking's Transition to Cloud
FREMONT, CA: The cloud offers the opportunity for IT to break the cycle of technological limitations demanded by traditional legacy systems in the physical data center. By taking the proactive role of moving workloads to the cloud, IT can reduce costs, increase management control, and build a strategy for continuing productivity improvements. For the need to move the entire IT infrastructure out of a traditional on-site server room, iMailTracking, a provider of secure mail management and mail processing services, partnered with AIS Data Centers who organized and completed the company’s IT infrastructure transition to the cloud in under twenty days.
Transition to AIS BusinessCloud
Using virtualization and data migration, AIS provided a complete cloud solution for iMailTracking and oversaw each step of the transition. AIS BusinessCloud is a powerful public cloud Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) offering that uses the popular and flexible VMware cloud service software suite. It provides client-specific network, compute, and storage resources including a virtual data center (vDC) on a fully-managed, extremely secure platform accessible via the Internet or Layer 3 VPN connectivity for greater flexibility and security.
The VMware vCloud Director self-provisioning system used in AIS BusinessCloud requires no human intervention to ensure quick completion of tasks with fewer errors. On the other hand, the AIS Data Centers ensures superior reliability of its offerings in accordance to the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) standards for establishing and operating IT service management as well as continuous improvement.
At the hardware level, AIS Data Centers cloud services are designed with complete redundancy and are configured to eliminate any single point of failure, ensure uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems and provide dual-power supply from a static transfer switch.
“Moving to the Cloud saved us time, money and headaches. AIS’s BusinessCloud solution has been good for our business – our clients enjoy improved connectivity and reduced downtime and appreciate the added security and business continuity options,” says David Dutcher, President, iMailTracking.
