Alcatel-Lucent Teams up with Vedicis to Offer Smart Data Fulfilling Big Data Needs
FREMONT, CA: With more and more enterprises being Big Data centric, the challenges of Big Data have also doubled. In order to address these challenges Alcatel-Lucent and Vedicis join forces to bring Smart Data as a Service with a disruptive business model.
The Smart Data as a Service model substitutes the traditional CAPEX model due to its cost efficiency and its ability to provide easy access to information for network, marketing and contact centre stakeholders. Designed using virtualized software and service platforms, this solution can incorporate Big Data in a way that leverages a consistent set of data.
The new solution will provide a 360 degrees view to its clients with capacity planning, network operations, profiling and marketing, revenue assurance and legal compliance cancelling out geographical barriers and the need for upfront investment. Enterprises can increase the return on investment and reduces the time taken in data collection, processing and editing.
Alcatel-Lucent offers a service platform caters to the user’s need of industrial service delivery whilst maintaining intimacy and proximity. This collaboration will accelerate the formation of next generation of smart managed services for service and business innovation.
“Managing is all about taking proper actions leveraging relevant and accurate measures. Making our customers’ lives easier by providing direct access to the right metrics and information hence moving from managing services toward enabling business performance,” says Friedrich Trawoeger, President Managed Services, Alcatel-Lucent.
