IRVINE, CA: TrustCommerce, a provider of secure payment solutions has partnered with Allscripts, a provider of practice management and electronic health record technology for physician practices, hospitals, and other healthcare providers, to securely accept online payments through the Allscripts FollowMyHealth patient engagement platform.

The platform enables consumers to monitor and optimize health status. It is EHR-agnostic and integrates seamlessly with all systems across the enterprise, providing patients with a single point of access regardless of the individual provider’s software. The critical information is readily available to the care team when the patient data automatically flows back to the electronic health record thereby providing seamless workflow integration among patients, physicians and other caregivers, including secure messaging, bill paying and appointment scheduling.

Allscripts FollowMyHealth’s integration with TrustCommerce Solutions supports healthcare organizations in their commitment to protecting payment information. Through Allscripts FollowMyHealth, patients can initiate bill payment online. Upon check out or discharge, patients will automatically be redirected to the secure TC Trustee Host “Hosted Payment Page,” which resides on a different domain, where they enter their card data to complete the transaction. Their credit card data is entered directly onto TrustCommerce’s servers reducing risk and liability to the healthcare organization.

This secure solution eliminates the need for Allscripts FollowMyHealth clients to capture, transmit, or store credit card information, greatly reducing the risk of data exposure and offering a path to Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) scope reduction. In addition to the Allscripts FollowMyHealth integration, healthcare organizations can leverage the full TrustCommerce suite of solutions at no additional cost, such as:
TC Vault Virtual Terminal: Back and front office personnel can accept patient payments at any workstation (phone, mail or faxed).
TC Citadel, Advanced Tokenization System: Collection teams can use TC Citadel to schedule payments for customer payment plans.
