BOSTON:  Apperian, a developer of cloud computing-based mobile application management software has launched an open Application Programming Interface for its enterprise mobility platform. The API is a collection of RESTful web service interfaces that handle the management of many Apperian platforms to extend, integrate, and create additional functionality and value based needs for the customers.

With this open API, Apperian’s customers and partners can integrate the fully extensible platform and mobility management capabilities into their own existing infrastructure and extend their own enterprise mobility solutions or the third party’s IT infrastructures.

This allows external systems to access capabilities like publishing apps, performing app inspections, accessing reports, crowdsourcing and monitoring the overall system. Open API of Apperian assists managed service providers with secured, managed and deployable enterprise apps. The developers can use this platform to create and distribute secure enterprise apps.

“By opening up our APIs we are now enabling enterprises and partners to leverage our capabilities as a true mobility platform. The openness of Apperian’s platform is that we offer the flexibility for customers and partners to easily integrate with their existing enterprise infrastructure as well as to offer new and extended capabilities on top of our platform.  The API is broad, secure and stable and provides partners and companies with more freedom – which is important in a market like mobility management that’s filled with proprietary approaches,” said Carlos Montero-Luque, chief technology officer, Apperian.

Partners who have integrated Apperian’s Open API include IBM, Worklight, Appcelerator, Mobiquity, Xamarin, iFactr, AnyPresence, and ViziApps.
