BELLEVUE, WA: To better help CIOs manage the Business of IT, Apptio, provider of cloud-based Technology Business Management (TBM) Software, has expanded its Apptio Technology Alliance Program with BMC Software, Cherwell, EasyVista, SelectHub, Tableau, Planview, BDNA and 6fusion.

Apptio’s alliance program is a system within Apptio’s broader Partner Community, focused on the particular needs and goals of technology partners. It allows joint customers to comprehensively manage the cost, quality and value of the IT investments. This program also allows vendors to provide data and insights to Apptio’s TBM applications.

“With the technical integration of Technopedia into Apptio, joint customers can now leverage BDNA’s rich data repository and use it to create a more accurate picture of IT spend. This strategic partnership marries the defacto standard for enterprise IT data from BDNA with industry leading ability to understand and manage cost, quality and value of IT services from Apptio,” says Walker White, President of BDNA.

Due to Apptio’s Technology Alliance Program, IT leaders find themselves enabled with standardized budget templates and workflows to automate their population, approval and consolidation across budget iterations. It also enables them to focus on what the business needs from IT instead of getting delayed with email and spreadsheet templates.

Commenting on the expansion, Stan Shull, VP of Business Development, Apptio, says. “At Apptio, we recognize there are many successful software vendors who provide technology that is complementary to Apptio’s core TBM applications. Through this program, we aim to bring our partners to the forefront of the key decision processes that technology leaders make when managing the business of IT.”
