FREMONT, CA: Autodesk announces the availability of new Autodesk 2016 Design Suites that bring cutting edge design capabilities to both desktops and cloud. These suites make it easy for design and fabrication by leveraging latest trends such as 3D printing.

Besides the Design Suites, the latest Autodesk 2016 also comes with enhancements in software, cloud services, and subscription options. The Design Suites in the latest edition include:

Building Design Suite: better software performance and interoperability features enabling greater visualization, clash detection, and detailing

Infrastructure Design Suite: ensures connected workflow across the design phases; better collaboration and improved software coordination; brings enhanced project organization tools

Plant Design Suite: Improvements in AutoCAD Plant 3D such as tight integration with Autodesk Vault and attachment of Navisworks models as reference models; AutoCAD MEP now available to model electrical raceways and ductwork

“Our customers are pushing the boundaries on how products are designed and made, how buildings are built, and how entertainment is created,” said Amar Hanspal, senior vice president at Autodesk. “Autodesk Suites address the entire workflow: from capturing reality and iterating on a design, to physically making that design through 3D printing or other forms of fabrication.”

The company is also debuting new Autodesk AnyCAD interoperability for third-party design files and new 3D printing capabilities so that the digital models can be easily prepared for fabrication on a 3D printer.

The company also brings Product Design Suite and Factory Design Suite that bring advanced simulation and powerful visualization and analysis tools respectively.
