Avast Collaborates With Remotium to Strengthen BYOD Security

FREMONT, CA:  Avast Software acquires virtual enterprise mobility Remotium to strengthen Bring-your-own-device (BYOD) security across all enterprises. The deal will allows Avast to extend its offering of mobile security application to other enterprise environment.

The aim is to incorporate BYOD concept in business spaces in safe, secure and effective way through cost-effective methods and promote on-the-go business requirement to meet the demands in current market. “Remotium’s mobile solutions address the needs of modern enterprises, as more and more companies support BYOD policies,” says Vince Steckler, CEO of Avast.

Since personal devices are connected to corporate platform, increase security risk is high. Remotium’s Virtual Mobile Platformenables access to enterprise applications from any mobile or desktop device and allows employees to work from anywhere- in the office or remotely from home.“With this technology, companies have visibility and security needed to ensure data integrity, at the same time users enjoy complete privacy along with apps that looks and feel consistent across mobile and desktop platforms,” adds Vince.
