AvePoint Announces General Availability of Avepoint Perimeter Service Pack (SP) 4
JERSEY CITY, NJ: AvePoint, known for enabling enterprise collaboration across platforms and devices, announces the general availability of AvePoint Perimeter Service Pack (SP) 4.
Extending the collaboration power of SharePoint, AvePoint Perimeter increases user productivity by allowing them to work with anyone from a single content repository, all while maintaining security over the content with robust administrator options. Organizations can now empower end users with mobile SharePoint access, while reassuring your IT administrator’s trust in content security. Some of the new features include:
SharePoint File Sync and Share: With this End users can extend sharing beyond the organization by allowing external users to view and edit content from browser-based Office Web Apps. Content can be saved and synced back to the organization’s source library without ever having to download it.
SharePoint Productivity: Information workers can share content from approved-for-sharing libraries with one click in the SharePoint ribbon, ensuring on-premises SharePoint becomes the single point of access for all of an organization's content, eliminating the need for multiple sharing systems.
Secure Collaboration: A combination of a secure container with the familiar interface of Office Web Apps featured in AvePoint Perimeter exposes only the content that has been approved for external sharing without giving direct access to your SharePoint environment. All actions taken using AvePoint Perimeter are logged, fully auditable, and can be used to trigger administrator-side alerts on suspicious activities related to content access and secure sharing.
“With the proliferation of mobile devices and emergence of free file sharing services, IT and compliance teams within organizations are facing security headaches,” says Dux Raymond Sy, Chief Technology Officer, AvePoint Public Sector. “The newest features in AvePoint Perimeter allow organizations to encourage seamless collaboration without the worry of leaking information outside the organization’s walls".
