Azul Systems Unveils Zing to Enable Real Time Business
FREMONT, CA: Java runtime specialist Azul Systems introduces its latest version of Java Virtual Machine- Azul Zing which is ideal for Java SE 8,7, or 6 and enables production applications to operate in business real-time.
Zing comes with specific optimizations for Apache Cassandra deployments, provides full support for Docker enabling benefits of Docker Portability and other performance enhancements. It is also configurable for Linux server deployments to meet workloads that require combinations of large memory, high transaction rates, low latency, consistent response time and high sustained throughput.
The new offering is easy to deploy, provides ultra-low latency, high performance and consistent response time. The system requirements include Intel Xeon server class processors and AMD: Opteron server class processors. It supports platforms like x86: 64 bit Linux; Red Hat Enterprise MRG Realtime 2.3; Oracle Linux and Ubuntu 10.04 LTS, 12.04 and 14.04 LTS. Additionally, deployment architectures support Virtualized (VMWare/KVM), and Cloud (Amazon EC2, Rackspace, multiple private cloud).
Benefits and advantages
Zing requires no extra application; it works well with the existing architecture. It peaks up performance level by meeting the needs of trading systems, matching engines and other sensitive-latency apps. Zing also delivers consistent performance for Web-based workloads and web-scale applications; speeds up time-to-market capabilities for new features and applications.
