BlueNRGY Acquires Umbra Solar Services to Improve Plant Efficiencies
FORT LAUDERDALE, FL: BlueNRGY, a provider of energy monitoring solutions has acquired Umbra Solar Services, a national Photovoltaic (PV) Operations and Maintenance (O&M) company that provides data monitoring, preventative and corrective maintenance, and site management services for PV systems.
Umbra Solar Services will bring its renewable energy operations expertise to BlueNRGY to improve plant efficiencies and reduce operational costs for customers globally. In turn, Umbra Solar Services, operating as an independent O&M subsidiary of BlueNRGY, will continue to provide current and future O&M customers, the same level of commitment to quality and services. It will also provide additional benefits of BlueNRGY's software platform BlueNRGY Monitoring 2.0, which offers an unprecedented level of control and predictability to monitor solar power plants.
"Our strategic union with BlueNRGY was a natural fit. Anytime you can reduce operational costs, provide increased services, and have a positive impact on site production makes for a very easy decision. Together, we feel that we will accomplish all three and look forward to setting a new standard in the industry," says Chris MacDonald, vice president of operations of BlueNRGY.
"The long history of first-rate performance that Umbra brings will strengthen our team. We're pleased that we can now offer their extensive technical operations experience, high standards, and unmatched performance guarantee to solar asset owners across the country," says Emmanuel Cotrel, chief executive officer, BlueNRGY.
