Bowbridge Now Offers ApplicationSecurity Bridge for SAP Applications
FREMONT, CA: Specifically targeting content based vulnerabilities of SAP solutions, provider of data security solutions worldwide, Bowbridge, has introduced its latest security solution ApplicationSecurity Bridge.
With technology catering users to access SAP solutions online worldwide, these solutions are also open to attacks by hackers that are targeting sensitive information and data. A majority of these attacks are content based where the attacker injects malicious content into the system. The ApplicationSecurity Bridge helps clients by sanitizing user input and checking content before it is processed. Further, the system offers custom built analysis that detects Cross-Site Scripting, SQL Injections, and Directory Traversals.
The ApplicationSecurity Bridge works as a plug-in to the SAP Internet Communication Manager (ICM), protecting against OS-command injections, and Open Redirects by analyzing application page requests and user data entry. The solution requires no extra modification and significantly complements Bowbridge’s previous release, AntiVirus Bridge.
According to Joerg Schneider Simon, CTO and Co-founder of BowBridge, numerous organizations compromise to have an exposed SAP application in order to expand their business and remain competitive.
SAP based applications are at the core of many integrated, IT-supported business processes. While traditional content security solutions fail to secure SAP-proprietary data transfers, Bowbridge’s solution help in accelerating business process while cementing their attack resilience. The solution is PCI-DSS compliant, ensuring security in hosted and cloud environments.
ApplicationSecurity Bridge’s AntiXSS-module prevents unauthorized modifications of the application’s appearance by detecting and blocking user-input aimed at staging a cross-site scripting (XSS) attack. As the entire scanning process takes place in memory, the solution also offer highest security gain with maximum performance. Further, Bowbridge provides automatic application updates through its global content distribution network eliminating overall maintenance effort.
With proven competence in demanding environments for clients such as Allianz, Siemens, and Vodafone, Bowbridge is committed to offer sustainable solutions in SAP Solutions landscape.
