Box and IBM Team Up to Comingle their Cloud Products

LOS ALTOS, CA: In order to construct a platform that can capacitate enterprises with digitalization, Box that serves online file sharing and personal cloud content management solutions has announced its partnership with IBM to deliver integrated technology which can optimize enterprises cloud-based functionality.

Through this teaming up, both companies will be integrating their cloud products which will enable Box clients to store their data on IBM’s cloud, reports Alex Wilhelm, Techcrunch. Ultimately it will enable life sciences organizations to assimilate with drug research, financial institutions to process paperless loans and government to add momentum in their process.

This strategic alliance will let IBM to use Box’s cloud content collaboration platform which helps businesses to securely store, share and manage all types of confidential and sensitive files.  Along with that Box can utilize IBM Security Technology, Analytics and Social solutions and Global footprint of IBM cloud to store information generated by IBM applications data tools, supporting developers to integrate Box APIs into enterprise apps and web services. IBM social media analytics help businesses to acquire consumer data from social media and predict customer behavior to improve services.

 IBM will be leveraging Box’s platform and APIs in their iOS applications as their Mobile First initiative. The technology powering end-user collaboration and sharing will empower retail to connect their back-office workflow with content needed to help retail store associate. Altogether Box will get access to pre-build technology and data centers.
