BOXX Unveils Rendering System to Offload Intensive Tasks
AUSTIN, TX: BOXX Technologies,a company that provides high –performance workstations and rendering systems launches renderPRO 1, the smallest desk side rendering system for offloading computationally intensive tasks.
Rendering is the process of adding shades, color and lamination to a 2D or 3D wireframe in order to create life-like images on a screen. It may be done ahead of time (pre-rendering) or it can be done in real time. Real-time rendering is often used for 3D video games, which require a high level of interactivity with the player. Pre-rendering, which is CPU-intensive is used to create more realistic images and is usually used for movie creation.
renderPRO 1 is powered by a single Intel Xeon processor, E5 v3 that has up to 18 cores(36 threads) and 64GB of DDR4-2133 memory. The latest product is designed to provide engineers, architects, VFX artists, animators and creative professionals with portable rendering and simulation in a compact form factor. Itis 4.7 inches wide, 8.5 inches tall, and 9.0 inches deep. The unibody core, interlocking strengthening side panels and four corner bumpers allow the render node to stand vertically, horizontally, or as a stacked component in a portable render farm. The manufacturer claims that the product requires only power and a network connection to provide maximum workload operations through a liquid-cooling system to ensure reliable performance.
