Bracket Introduces Text Messaging to its eClinical Portfolio
WAYNE, PA: Timely communication is need of the hour; if timely alerts or reminders are not given to patients then consequences may be severe, sometimes life-threatening. A trial specialty clinical service provider, Bracket empowered its platform—Electronic Clinical Outcomes Assessments (eCOA) and Randomization and Trial Supply Management (RTSM) with new updates featuring support for text messaging with patients and other stakeholders in clinical research programs. The aspiration of Bracket is to achieve greater medication adherence and compliance across the eClinical portfolio, to support participating patients in clinical trials.
Jeff Kinell, CEO, Bracket asserts, "Patient communication tools are an essential component of effective patient engagement programs, and these updates reinforce our commitment to improving the patient experience in research programs through progressive methods offered by healthcare IT." For a trial investigator it is important to get assurance about patients taking their medication, which is now possible with the new update that empowers the establishment of medication adherence and compliance. To derive high quality results, the RTSM platform will leverage text messaging to send reminders directly into the patient’s device, ensuring patient’s compliance throughout the trial process.
On the other hand, this new update allows users to communicate confidentially and deliver relay of information irrespective of the place. Characterizing such features, a report by JAMA Internal Medicine reports that the update contributed for 50 percent increase in adherence rates, satisfying the participants and gathered commendations for support and ease-to-use interface. Bracket is further carving its road map to integrate patient engagement tool across its product line.
