FREMONT, CA: Breakwater Solutions, a new technology and consulting company, has named Jim Vint and Rebecca Patterson to lead its consulting business. Both were founding members of Breakwater and will serve as managing directors, with Vint also acting as a chief revenue officer.

Vint has over two decades of consulting experience, with stops at Ankura, Navigant, and FTI Consulting among them. He has established global technology consulting practices that include risk reduction and strategic approaches to issues in litigation, enforcement, and investigations. He has collaborated with businesses of all sizes, from start-ups to the Global 100, as well as the Am Law 100, Magic Circle, and regional affiliate organizations, in several industries. Vint began his career at Arthur Andersen and earned his MBA from Duke University.

Patterson has over 15 years of experience in consulting and executive management. She has led and strategically grown analytics and data strategy consulting practices that deliver solutions to various clients facing complex data challenges in litigation, investigations, and regulatory compliance. She has worked with corporate and law firm clients to design and deliver custom solutions and strategic responses founded on data strategy, data analytics, and risk mitigation. Patterson earned her JD and Certificate in Tax Law from Loyola University Chicago.
