BT Announces New Partnerships to Offer Cloud Identity and Security
The company’s BT Assure Cloud Identity, a managed identity service, aids in the protection of business data regardless of its location. The service will be available to customers based across the Americas.
The Assure Cloud Identity works on the IAM technology, the core of CA secure Cloud, and includes provisioning and management of users; on-premises applications and federated single sign-on for software-as-a-service (SaaS); and security against inapt access. The process is made seamless to offer protection against fraud with the aid of advanced authentication services incorporating multi-factor and behavioral analytics.
“Based on cutting edge technology from CA Technologies, it gives our customers the confidence and convenience of protecting critical data from loss or improper use, no matter where it resides. Customers are able to do this without a significant investment into hardware or staffing to support the technology and they free up time and resource for their core business.” said Jason Cook, VP, BT Security in the Americas.
In the view to offer effective and next-generation security services helping companies against cyber attack, BT announced collaboration with Intel Security. Followed by this, BT also partnered with Palo Alto Networks, integrating Palo Alto Networks Next-Generation Security Platform into the assortment of security services offered by BT. This agreement includes integration of Palo Alto Networks Next-Generation Security Platform’s malware prevention WildFire into BT’s Assure Managed Firewall service.
“Enterprises are keen to accelerate their digital transformation and fully leverage exciting new technology, from big-data analytics to cloud applications. They need to access these applications securely, using future-proof tools that protect them against targeted and increasingly sophisticated cyber-attacks. They need a tougher lining around their cloud services.” said Mark Hughes, CEO of BT Security.
“Palo Alto Networks provides intelligent security monitoring, management and efficacy. Integrating that breach prevention capability into the BT Assure portfolio of security services will be a big step forward in securing the cloud strategy of an organization.” Hughes added.
“Security is now a top concern for every business, and with continued growth in both the volume and sophistication of attacks, a breach prevention-focused strategy is essential to ensure a safe digital future for organizations and individuals alike.” said Chad Kinzelberg, senior VP of business and corporate development, Palo Alto Networks.
“We are delighted to join forces with BT to help organizations safely enable business operations and protect their most valuable assets, managing both their risk and their security budgets.”
