FREMONT, CA: Business Integrity, a provider of document automation software for law firms and corporations, releases ContractExpress 5.4, its enterprise class product designed for fast and accurate document drafting and client collaboration.

The new release offers integration with for DocuSign – a provider of electronic signature technology and Digital Transaction Management services – for implementation of electronic signature capabilities. ContractExpress 5.4 also introduces the ability for questionnaires to connect to external OData web services, offering additional data integration capabilities with other information systems.

ContractExpress Author 5.4 includes a fresh user interface with one, clean “Dictionary Editor” task pane and many new features such as global find and replace and spell check. It also displays an audit trail of all the changes made to documents or templates, helping users to keep track of the drafting and approval process with less risk.

DocuSign works by encrypting Signatures and documents, then treats them with a hash to reveal whether the document has been tampered with or compromised. Their Professional emails recipients an electronically signed document requesting review of a document after it is uploaded. Each party must agree to complete business electronically, review the document and apply a signature. Signatures may be added from a stored copy of a signature or generated automatically by the software.

The mobile app DocuSign Ink allows users to sign and annotate documents by attaching a stored signature, which may be created in graphic design software, captured from an image of a paper document or selected from a variety of prefabricated signatures based on the user’s legal name.

“DocuSign reduces average document turnaround times by eight days, with 86 percent of documents completed in one day. We previously integrated DocuSign into ContractExpress for SharePoint and Salesforce, and now, we can also leverage that gain in ContractExpress 5,” says Andy Wishart, CTO, Business Integrity.
