CA Technologies Puts Its Money on Identity Management Service from Xceedium

FREMONT, CA: CA Technology, a provider of IT software solution has announced its acquisition of Identity Management service from Xceedium, a network security software company. Xceedium serves mid-large sized enterprises in vertical market segments including banking, finance, retail, manufacturing along with governmental agencies providing security.

 This software will help mitigate the risks that privileged users confront with regarding their accounts, passwords, certificates and digital keys. The integration of the solution will deliver privilege solutions optimized for on-premise, cloud and hybrid IT environments; further offering better defined roles and access across hybrid cloud deployments.

The identity management tool will control information about users on computers. The information will describe the management of individual principals, their authentication, authorization, and privileges within or across system and enterprise boundaries. It will enhance the management of descriptive information about the user as well as how and by whom that information can be accessed and modified. It will focus on increasing security and productivity while decreasing cost, downtime and repetitive tasks.
