Cask Certifies the CDAP Platform on MapR 5.0 for Robust Deployment of Applications on Hadoop
PALO ALTO, CA: Cask, an open source Big Data software developer has partnered with MapR- a distributor of Apache Hadoop derived software and certified its Cask Data Application Platform (CDAP) on MapR 5.0 to enable joint customers quickly develop and deploy reliable data-oriented applications across the enterprise on Hadoop.

The CDAP is an open source and integrated platform that enables developers to design, deploy and manage data applications leveraging Hadoop and other Big Data technologies. It offers data integration and UI-based pluggable Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) framework with smooth programmatic scheduling engine. In addition, CDAP provides application packaging, reusable data patterns, and standardized application templates and empower developers with runtime services discovery and monitoring, metadata and security management and Metrics Collection capabilities.
The MapR Distribution that includes Apache Hadoop provides an enterprise-grade distributed data platform to store and process Big Data. MapR 5.0 is designed for processing Big Data on a single platform to offer real-time applications. It also delivers security auditing, Apache Drill and Hadoop 2.7 support.
Now Cask will support production users on MapR 5.0 and all three major Hadoop distributions. Further, Cask will facilitate enterprises and developers with a robust platform for development of Big Data applications supported by a broad set of choices for production deployment.
