FREMONT, CA: CDI, a provider of technology-based solutions to the education market, partners with Exinda to provide WAN Orchestration solution to help educational institutes control recreational internet use, conserve valuable bandwidth and avoid costly network upgrades.

With the integration of Exinda’s innovative Wide Area Network (WAN) orchestration into the CDI product line, educational institutes will be able to optimize K-12 and campus network usage by protecting valuable bandwidth. The network orchestrator solution will monitor Internet and application traffic, allow for bandwidth allocation by school, user, group and time of day, and eliminate wasteful consumption.

The recreational traffic generated by the use of various social sites in schools and universities has led to low bandwidth availability, slow response time and as a whole, reduced productivity. The WAN solution enabled through partnership will work in addressing these challenges to ensure better quality of digital learning.

WAN orchestration is the ability to intelligently manage WAN resources and the IP traffic flowing over the network.

“As technology in the classroom evolves, the challenge of delivering a quality Internet experience to teachers and students becomes more difficult. Our partnership with CDI will help educational institutions guarantee that the most important applications always have the bandwidth they need to make digital learning possible,” said Michael Sharma, CEO, Exinda.
