CGTech's VERICUT Composite Applications Software will be Showcased at JEC

FREMONT, CA: This year, at the Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Center, CGTech will be demonstrating VERICUT Composite Applications that includes, VERICUTS Composite Paths for Engineering (VCPe), VERICUT Composite Programming (VCP), and  VERICUT Composite Simulation (VCS).

The latest version of CGTech’s VERICUT software will be on display, which is a CNC machine stimulation, verification, and optimization software that would help users to eliminate the process of manually proving ‘out NC’ programs. This software stimulates all kinds of CNC machining, including drilling and trimming of composite parts, water jets, riveting, robotics, mill/turn and parallel kinematics.

“VERICUT runs standalone, but can also be integrated with leading CAD/CAM/PLM systems, including Dassault Systemes CATIA, Siemens PLM NX CAM, Delcam PowerMill, Vero EdgeCAM, Open Mind hyperMILL, DP Esprit, and Missler TopSolidCAM,” opines William Huang, Founder of CGTech.

The firm’s product, VERICUT Software, will also help the critical stimulation when trimming the composite product. This is because the composite work pieces have a significant amount of process time and labor in them prior to the machining process, and they can be more expensive than some exotic metal alloy workpieces.

The visitors to this show will witness the necessary steps that are needed when transforming from a CAD designed composite part to CNC programs, that will drive an Automated Fiber placement (AFP) or Automated Tape Laying (ATL) machine. There will be Information on new projects that will highlight the implementation and use of machine independent off-line NC programming software for AFP and ATL machines.

“Current customer projects to be highlighted include extensive use of robots, lasers, probing, and ultrasonic knifes on machines from leading AFP and ATL manufacturers including Electro impact and MTorres,” says John Reed, CGTech Ltd Managing Director.
