GREENWOOD, CO: Colorado State University Global Campus aims to broaden student’s knowledge by introducing a computer programming certificate of completion and undergraduate degree specialization program. The program began from March 2016 and is very similar to the popular boot camp-style programs.

The ultimate aim of these online classes is to brace up the novices and train students in such a way that at the end of the program each student will develop the expertise to create simple web page and mobile app, while mastering the basic software development.

CSU has designed the 8-week course program keeping in mind about other traditional programs of the semester and letting students gain an accelerator experience without any sacrifices.

"Software development is becoming an important segment of the Colorado economy, it is the need for qualified employees who have the technical ability as well as the critical thinking and problem-solving skills that is offered in the new program” asserts Dr. Jon Bellum, Provost and Executive Vice President, CSU-Global.

The new computer programming offering focuses on advanced technology and utilizes the complete online environment provided by CSU-Global. As a result students can gain marketable skills while working full-time, and are able to implement in their coursework to the workplace. Moreover, the program is aligned with the exam topics for Oracle's Java SE 7 Programmer certification paths at the associate and professional levels.

With the mission to help students in reaching success both academically and professionally, CSU-Global has recruited trained faculty and industry experts to develop courses. It also offers hands-on experience to demonstrate their value in a larger business environment.
