FREMONT, CA: As reported by Mike Vizard from ITBusinessEdge, the competition among IT vendors is on rise as Nutanix comes up with better solutions to address Enterprise IT challenges. These companies are trying to sort out how to manage the hyper converged platforms of Nutanix. While Nutanix offers a wide range of management tools, many of the IT firms are trying to broaden their existing management frameworks to complement Nutanix solutions.

One such company is Comtrade Software, which paired with Nutanix to develop a Nutanix plug-in module for the Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) platform. “With a lot of of Nutanix systems running Microsoft Hyper-V virtual machines, it makes perfect sense to extend the reach of SCOM out to the Nutanix platform,” says Robert Corradini, a Microsoft solutions architect at Nutanix.

According to Simon Taylor, Software President at Comtrade, hyper converged platforms have come a long way in the data centre as a substitute to highly complex Storage Area Network (SAN) architectures. He further elaborates that Nutanix approach to hyper convergence paves way for organizations to administer computing and storage efficiently.

Mike states that, many of the IT companies have acknowledged the hyper convergence systems from Nuatrix as the most practical solution for building a private cloud. The Nutanix platform relieves companies from the uneasiness in developing framework for private clouds, by embedding the tools needed to manage IT infrastructure resources on demand inside a box.

Quite apparent that Nutanix is not the only provider of hyper converged systems but with the support for SCOM available through Comtrade, implementation of hyper convergence inside traditional Microsoft Windows Server environments is expected to spread out.
