Convo Makes a Powerful Comeback with Enhanced Features and Integrations
FREMONT, CA: Convo, private enterprise social network for real-time collaboration, announces its redesigned web and new desktop Mac application. In the words of Faizan Buzdar, CEO of Convo, it has been “the biggest, most massive update” since it launched.
The company claims that the speed of notifications and updates has improved by 3x and the web app no longer uses Adobe’s Flash or AIR technology. A vastly expanded selection of integrations allows the users to automatically post content from services like Gmail, Salesforce and Twitter. Additional features include- enhanced group privacy controls, content previews optimized for retina displays, infinite scroll and ability to mute conversations.
As a platform, Convo was lagging behind its competitors like Slack. Previously, Convo supported integrations through its API, however, now it has built 200 integrations on its own. To extract benefit of the integrations, one needs to have a Zapier account- a web automation service. Also, its desktop app was based on the clunky Adobe AIR runtime and had sub-par search. The new apps are an improvement over its previous model
According to the company the improvements will soon be offered across the platforms and the updates will soon be available on Windows app.
