FREMONT, CA: Core Systems, a provider of rugged computer solutions, unveils an all-in-one integrated computer to simplify user experience and reduce space requirements.

The key features of the new M1U220 rugged computer include:

Built in one rack unit of height (1U), the new computer model has been equipped with a removable 500GB solid state drive a PCI-e (Peripheral Component Interconnect Express) slot for additional cards. It runs on Intel Quad-Core 1.91 gigahertz (GHz) processor with only 10W max TDP and has a storage capacity of 1600 megahertz (MHz) RAM.

A 17 inch daylight readable screen with 1920 x 1080 HD resolution has been designed to provide superior viewing experience even in extreme conditions. The device requires 110-220 Volt of AC power for smooth operations. It has an integrated VGA video graphics engine and 3x open VGA ports. To provide easy access to USB media, the company has framed the new device with 2x front USB ports and dual GB rear local area network (LAN) ports. The system consists of Windows 7’s 64-bit Operating System.

"The M1U2201 is the first 1U LCD computer of its kind that contains removable storage, significant processing power, and room for an expandable PCI-e card. The space restriction, along with the requirement for ease of use with front mount access to a USB and removable media, were a tall order. But because of our vast library of previous builds for military requirements, we were up for the challenge. Our customer is thrilled with the design and so are we. This unit is now being requested by many customers with small space requirements," says Tyson Heyser, Senior Engineer, Core Systems.
